Captain Eden Hazard was sidelined early on and Romelu Lukaku missed his four big chances, making Belgium's World Cup trip a disappointment.
Croatia advanced to the last 16, but Morocco beat Canada 2-1 to top the group and finish second.

20 seconds later Croatia had a chance but Ivan Perisic's shot went over the post.
Belgium responded with a quick comeback in the 14th minute of the first half, but Doris Mertens failed to hit the post with an accurate pass from Kevin De Bruyne.
A boxful resulted in
the offside decision being overturned midway through.
The rest of the half was tense, but the game picked up again after the break.
Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was called up
early in the game, stopping Croatia three times.
Lukaku was brought in late and the Inter striker missed his second chance in a row.
Just after the hour mark, Lukaku reacts first to the rebound, hitting the post from close range when the keeper is out of position.
