ایک روز قبل ڈیٹا کنسلٹنگ فرم کینٹر کی جانب سے جاری کردہ رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا کہ کرونا وائرس پھیلنے کے بعد سے اب تک دیگر ایپس کے مقابلے میں واٹس ایپ کے استعمال میں چالیس فیصد اضافہ ہوگیا،

اس رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا تھا کہ لاک ڈاؤن کے دوران صارفین واٹس ایپ پر ویڈیو چیٹ۔ کالز اور میسجنگ سروس کا استعمال زیادہ کررہے ہیں، جبکہ گھر سے کام کرنے والے ملازمین بھی رابطوں کے لیے پیغام رسانی کی ایپلیکیشن کو استعمال کررہے ہیں،

واٹس ایپ پر گہری نظر رکھنے والے ڈبلیو اے بیٹا کی رپورٹ کے مطابق واٹس ایپ نے صارفین کے اسٹیٹس کا وقت 30 سیکنڈ سے کم کر کے 16 سیکنڈ تک مختص کردیا، اب صارف صرف 15 سیکنڈ کی ویڈیو ہی اسٹیٹس پر اپ لوڈ کرسکیں گے،

رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ ابھی اس فیچر کی آزمائش صرف بھارت میں کی جارہی ہے جس کے بعد دنیا بھر میں اس سہولت کو متعارف کرایا جائے گا،

واٹس ایپ نے یہ اقدام اپنے ڈیٹا سرور سے ٹریفک کم کرنے کےلیے کیا کیونکہ لاک ڈاؤن کی وجہ سے ڈیٹا پر بہت زیادہ بوجھ پڑ رہا ہے جس کی وجہ سے کسی بھی وقت سسٹم بیٹھ جانے کا خطرہ ہے۔۔۔
