Today, Croatia and Morocco face off for the second time in this World Cup to determine the winner of the third-place playoff.



2022 was full of surprises for Qatar, although the two underdogs lost in the semifinals, they can still finish that famous tournament this afternoon.

Atlas Lions are already the first African team to reach the final semi-finals, but while Croatia repeats their 1998 success, they can celebrate a more tangible achievement with a 3rd place win.

Match news between Croatia and Morocco:

Morocco had a chance with captain Romain Saiss and Bayern Munich's Nousar Mazrawi in their semi-final loss to France, but it didn't come to fruition as both had to withdraw with injuries.

Meanwhile, West Ham's Nayef Azerd was initially named in Wednesday's starting XI. Manager Walid Legraghi withdrew late before the start, claiming he is recovering from the flu and not yet another setback.

Players like Ashraf Dari, Yahya Attiat-Allah, and Jawad El-Yamik will need to continue filling Morocco's defense this weekend while the Atlas Lions are dealing with health issues.

Meanwhile, Croatia has suspended Josip Juranovic from Celtic and has doubts about Marcelo Brozovic and Born Sosa. Star defender Yosco Guardiol is also struggling with a leg injury.
